The importance of light

Light in architecture.

Light is an indispensable component of architecture that should not be overlooked. It is a natural resource that must be harnessed for the benefit of projects and the people who inhabit them.
Etienne Louis Boullée said that “the art of touching with the effects of light belongs to architecture,” because, depending on how it is used, it can transform the space, creating pleasant or unpleasant sensations, sublime or mysterious sensations, the sensation of enlarging a space or making it smaller, or simply highlighting aspects of the space that interest us.

Light is an essential element that must be taken into account in architecture because it has been shown to affect people’s lives, changing their mood.
