Encinar del Rey Residence, Valladolid

Supervised Studios and Apartments.

The plot, fairly flat and almost rectangular in shape, was located on the border between an industrial area. Therefore, it was decided that the center would be closed in on itself, creating a more or less enclosed complex, with the best orientation being within the plot’s garden, while always trying to avoid direct views of the industrial area. For this reason, it was decided that the two main buildings would adopt an “L” shape, helping to create an enclosed interior garden.

Three different units are planned:

• Studio: living room, kitchen, bedroom and an adapted bathroom
• Apartment: living room, hall with kitchen, adapted bathroom and one bedroom
• Housing: living room with open-plan kitchen, adapted bathroom and two bedrooms

On the ground floor, there is a connecting gallery between this building and the ground floor of the residence hall, so that all common rooms can be used by the residents of the supervised apartment building.
