Camino de Olivos Residence, LOGROÑO

The building is conceived as a single prismatic piece arranged along a north-south axis, positioned at the center of the plot. It is located in a new-generation residential area southwest of the city of Logroño.

By differentiating the spaces surrounding the building, a spatial qualification is achieved with more open outdoor areas and other more defined areas for users with cognitive impairments and orientation problems.

This residential unit has a capacity of 208 places, as well as a 40-place day center.

The layout of the residential program is compacted to allow for efficient connections between functional areas and to optimize routes, minimizing and streamlining residents’ journeys by ensuring short walking distances and utilizing areas with fewer views and less natural light for facilities and storage areas.

The architectural composition blends seamlessly with the surrounding residential area. It features a striking prismatic volume, with white cladding and metallic elements that frame the facade openings and the building’s central viewing platform, where a metal slatted sunshade protects from direct sunlight at dusk.
