Ekumene Community Residence, Torres de la Alameda, Madrid

The planned building consists of a total of three floors, divided into a basement, ground floor, and first floor. The basement does not occupy the entire floor area of ​​the rest of the building. 

The floor plan is designed in an L-shape, with the exterior of its horizontal section facing Federico García Lorca Street and aligning its main facade with it, as required by regulations. The main pedestrian entrance to the building and a vehicle entrance will be located on this street.

Although there are common areas above ground on both floors, these are more concentrated on the ground floor. This is where the main dining room, the kitchen, and the recreation rooms (games, reading, gym, etc.) are located. Also on this floor, and with direct access from the windbreak, are a well-sized chapel, a smaller and more restricted-use oratory, and the center’s various work and administrative offices.

The first floor is basically occupied by the 32 bedrooms, all of them individual and equipped with bathrooms.
